MadeByPi creates CBBC Raven website [May 10]

We've just created a new interactive website and online game for Raven, a BBC Scotland production for CBBC. Take a look at www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/raven.

The award-winning BAFTA children’s adventure game show is about a mysterious immortal Scottish warlord that guides his warriors through a series of tasks and feats. The new site offers viewers the chance to play interactive Raven games, watch the latest episodes and download fantastic Raven-themed wallpapers.

Tony Law, content producer for CBBC said: “Now in its tenth series, this much-loved programme needed a fresh home on the new-look CBBC website to showcase new and existing Raven content to its audience. This new website, designed and built by MadeByPi, is the result.

“As part of the site’s relaunch, we also commissioned MadeByPi to build a new Raven game ‘Way of the Warrior’. It gives viewers the opportunity to become online Warriors in a challenge similar to one of the popular games from the TV series. Players receive feedback from Raven himself, voiced by actor James Mackenzie.”

Chris Hemingway, creative partner for MadeByPi said: “BBC Raven is a great example of how the integration of TV and online digital entertainment can help the exposure of a popular brand. Young people are by far the fastest adopters of interactive technology and the BBC is at the forefront of children’s entertainment. The new site allows its younger audiences to be creative, whilst offering a sense of empowerment and engagement.”
